Fedrigoni Paper

Fedrigoni: Sirio Ultra Black. YCN 2015.

This promotional concept for a new product by Fedrigoni is based on a simple comparison of colors. The new Sirio Ultra Black is said to be 10% darker than the darkest black paper ever existed. The promotional set allows the customers to compare the intensities of the Sirio Ultra series with other colors. Surprisingly, the new dark black color makes other colors become brighter.

The set is divided into two parts, each contains a set of die-cut cards promoting one of the 7 available paper weights. Despite the fact that two parts come in the same box, they are presented as separate tools, playfully called The Magic Black Box. The die-cut elements suggest various usages of the Sirio paper from light-weight postcards to a thick gift boxes and bags.

The second set has die-cut pictograms associated with 7 rainbow colors and thus suggests what colorful surfaces can be placed under the card.
